The short version: ReturnIt stores all your data on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. There are no accounts, no servers, and no tracking.

1. What We Collect

ReturnIt stores the following data locally on your device only:

Return and rebate items you add (store name, item description, dates, amounts)
Receipt photos you optionally attach
Your total savings amount
Notification preferences

This data never leaves your device. It is stored in your browser's local storage and is not transmitted to any server.

2. What We Do Not Collect

No name, email address, or account information
No location data
No device identifiers or advertising IDs
No analytics or usage tracking
No crash reports sent off-device
No cookies or third-party trackers

3. Camera & Photo Library

ReturnIt may request access to your camera and photo library solely to let you attach receipt photos to return or rebate items. Photos are stored locally on your device only. We never upload photos to any server.

4. Notifications

ReturnIt may request permission to send local notifications to remind you of upcoming return and rebate deadlines. These notifications are generated entirely on your device — no data is sent to any server to deliver them. You can disable notifications at any time in your iPhone Settings.

5. Data Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all app data at any time by:

Deleting individual items within the app
Uninstalling the app, which removes all locally stored data

6. Children's Privacy

ReturnIt is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
